Glenn Matullo

I have been in the audio production industry for over 20 years. My career began at CNN as a script ripper. I quickly worked my way up to the position of live sound engineer for CNN International. While I was forging my career at CNNI, I was also busy at work in the Atlanta music scene recording and producing records. In 1996 I left CNN to open Orphan Studio, a full service recording studio. I had the pleasure of working with independent artists, many of whom would soon become Grammy nominees and winners. In between discovering artists like John Mayer and Shawn Mullins, the studio also worked with some of Atlanta’s largest and most creative advertising agencies like Austin Kelley and Sixty-Second Airborne. I produced many award winning radio and television commercials with them. I also worked with TBS and TNT sound designing and mixing promos for their stations.

In 2008 an unknown, at that time,  movie producer enlisted me to sound design and mix a new sitcom he created called 'Tyler Perry's House Of Payne'. Mr. Perry soon created an empire, producing over 300 episodes of 'House Of Payne', along with over 200 Meet The Browns, 100 'For Better Or Worse', 36 'The Haves And Have Nots', and 50 of 'Love Thy Neighbor' - most of which I either mixed or edited.

I've also mixed many of Tyler Perry's musicals in 5.1 surround sound.

During my years with Mr. Perry, I've acted as the Audio Post Supervisor, where I staffed an 8 man Audio Post  department, created workflows, trained new employees, and managed media from the production through the online process and station delivery.
